LANSING, Mich. --. Sgt. 1st Class Rebeca Scripter, a member of the Michigan Army National Guard, became one of the first enlisted Soldiers to earn a direct commission in Michigan in nearly a decade. She received her new rank of 2nd Lt., in a ceremony held at the Michigan National Guard Joint Force Headquarters on Feb. 26, 2016.
